The area where I live is called Willesden Green. The name itself already sounds very charming, and more so when I got to know that it actually means "The Hill of the Spring" (based on the Anglo-Saxon term "Willesdune"). It has a long history. A settlement bore this name all the way back to 939 AD!
My apartment is about 6 minutes' walk to the Underground station, Willesden Green. I find it such joy to walk around London during fall, when the weather is cool and pleasant.
Near the tube station are many shops. As you can see, we enjoy the quietness of the suburbs and convenience of shopping for groceries easily at the same time. And when you want to enjoy the nightlife of Central London, downtown is about 45 mins' ride away on the tube.

Right near where I live, there's an old, quiet church with religious figures on its colourful stained glass panels. The following pictures were taken during daytime, so the artwork won't show clearly. I will find a good opportunity to take some photos of the stained glass to show you next time.

Not sure, cos I have never stepped into it before. I'm always hurriedly walking past it to the tube station for classes. Maybe I should go in and take a look then tell you?
